Leather/Bushcraft Weekend Workshop

A weekend of learning the art of tanning hides and discovering the techniques involved in working with various types of leather. You’ll have hands-on experience of the tanning process and take home your tanned fish skin. On the second day as you learn the techniques of leather crafting, you’ll get to make a project that you also get to take away.

Camp out under shady mango trees at the luscious Green Valley, just out of Pine Creek NT, as you explore all about producing leather and how to best work with it.

Shower, toilet and kitchen facilities available.

There will be some food available but please bring what you can to share.

Set in tranquil bushland away from the crowds, this part of the country provides the ideal space to explore the self-sufficient methods of producing practical yet admirable leather goods from the skin of an animal that has passed.

Leathercraft is one of the oldest, hand-made crafts known to mankind. It goes back thousands of years.

Come and hang out in the bush as you explore the traditional ways that are still relevant today.
