Join us at Canberra City Farm learning leatherwork, a heritage skill now entering into a technological renaissance.  In this four hour workshop you will make a personalised hand-sized bag out of sustainable kangaroo leather. @MaidofOldeWork is focused on giving you the confidence and knowledge of basic leatherwork using renewable resources.  Making personal items from scratch is a great way to increase confidence and exercise your creativity. This workshop will kickstart your basic leather skills fundamental to any project you want to make at home from moulding a mask to stitching guitar straps. Discussions about leather and the broader context of leatherwork will be encouraged. All materials and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. This workshop is suitable for ages 9yrs+.
