Event description

Join AUT’s first Legal Clinic session, where we bring experts in to take a deep dive into how to create successful and sustainable businesses. This session is designed to address the critical legal challenges faced by New Zealand startups, providing practical insights through real-world scenarios.

You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of selecting the appropriate business structure, managing co-founder dynamics, safeguarding intellectual property and implementing effective capital-raising strategies.

You’ll also explore the fundamentals of contracts, including shareholder and employment agreements, while uncovering common legal pitfalls that can impede growth or compromise investment readiness.

The seminar will further examine funding frameworks, equity dilution, exit strategies, and compliance with privacy and consumer laws.
