This is the first of two training sessions from Russell Kennedy Law on the Legal Implications of the Aged Care Act for CHSP providers.
This live, interactive webinar will include a detailed will include a detailed discussion on agreement/provision on information requirements for CHSP providers.
Service agreements - The requirements for Services Agreements apply to CHSP providers and are much more onerous than what would have previously been expected. Anita and Johanna will go through these requirements as well as who is able to sign the agreements. We will also discuss the rules around when you can terminate an agreement
Provision of information – there are specific requirements for provision of information to consumers that must be complied with. For example, the statement of rights must be provided and explained. Anita and Johanna will go through these requirements and when information is required to be provided.
Associated provider agreements – there is a greater emphasis on associated provide obligations under the new Act and CHSP providers will need to ensure they have sound agreements in place to ensure compliance (given the responsibility of compliance always lies with the registered provider). Anita and Johanna will discuss what is required in an agreement and way to ensure you current providers are transitioned to the new Act as well as ongoing auditing requirements.
