    We are excited to announce we are partnering with knowmore Legal Services to offer this upcoming learning opportunity.


    Equip yourself with the critical knowledge needed to navigate Redress and other compensation schemes when working with and supporting victims and survivors of child sexual abuse. This essential training session will delve into the limitations, complexities and opportunities of Redress and other compensation schemes. 

    What you will learn:

    • The fundamentals of the National Redress Scheme, including recent changes to the Scheme. 
    • How the Redress Scheme may facilitate outcomes for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse. 
    • A practical overview of the Redress process. 
    • Strategies to support victims and survivors throughout the application process, including during application reviews and after receiving positive or negative outcomes.
    • Methods to manage client expectations, needs, and experiences throughout the Redress Scheme process.
    • Information about Redress Support Services and other relevant service pathways. 
    • An understanding of other related compensation options.

    Featured Speakers:   

    Alisa Hall, Director of Practice Development and Engagement, the National Centre. Alisa is a social worker, service leader and executive with 30 years of experience working in health, community care, and violence against women and children service areas and settings. She has extensive experience leading workforce programs and initiatives to build the capability of practitioners, organisations, sectors and industries. 

      

    Rachel Neil, Acting Principal Lawyer, knowmore Legal Service. Rachel Neil is the Acting Principal Lawyer of knowmore Legal Service and has worked at knowmore since 2019. She was previously the Principal Solicitor of Women’s Legal Service Queensland and has spent her legal career committed to helping vulnerable people to access their rights within a strong framework of trauma informed practice.
