2 Day Acrylic Seascapes Workshop for intermediate level artists or artists with reasonable levels of experience with acrylics
Seascapes can be a challenge in Acrylics. Â In this workshop, you will learn how to travel through the layers of an acrylic painting as you develop a seascape painting.Â
Course outline
This workshop will suit students with a reasonable level of experience in using acrylic paints. Â Â During the workshop you will explore the various layering techniques used with acrylic paint to develop a finished seascape including the reflections, waves, foam, sand and rock. Â You will use techniques such as scumbling and glazing as well as nuances of seascape colour mixing and design.Â
 Leigh is one of our most popular tutors who will provide one on one tuition to participants as they develop their skills in acrylic painting.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, you should walk away with an understanding of acrylic painting skills and layering techniques along with an understanding of what makes a good seascape..

Leigh D Walker is a classically trained artist who specialises in drawing and painting.
Born in south-west Scotland, she completed her Batchelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art/Heriot Watt University in 1998. After working as a professional artist and lecturer, she returned to her studies to complete a Master of Fine Arts Degree at Edinburgh College of Art/Edinburgh University in 2006. Â Her art practice is both meditative and intuitive and she seeks to explore concepts of the sublime and the spiritual through her abstract, landscape and figurative work.
