Jo Taranto – Sustainability Advocate, Communications Coach & Speaker

Jo Taranto is a dynamic speaker and changemaker who turns stakeholders into movement makers. With a passion for sustainability, community action, and leadership, Jo brings real-world insights on how to inspire change at both grassroots and systemic levels. Her latest keynote, A Year of Living Neighbourly, explores the power of connection, belonging, and action in tackling today’s biggest challenges, including environmental stewardship and social change. Through humor, storytelling, and practical wisdom, Jo empowers individuals and communities to step up, take action, and shape a better future.

In the afternoon, Jo will lead a walkshop at Voyager Point Community Centre, guiding participants through the stunning Voyager Point Wetland Reserve, "Footsteps to Change: Exploring Changemaking and Impact, Step by Step in Nature." This interactive session will use the natural landscape as a backdrop for exploring changemaking—how individuals and communities can navigate uncertainty, take meaningful action, and create impact.
