Celebrate a decade of incredible music-making as the Women’s Orchestra of Arizona (WOA) kicks off its historic 10th anniversary season!

From the slow, hypnotic build of Ravel’s legendary Bolero, featuring dancers from Wight Noise Dance Company, to the fiery, dramatic flair of Piazzolla’s Libertango, featuring dancers from MAC & Company, this program is packed with brilliant colors and irresistible rhythms.
Experience the lush, sweeping power of Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, the vibrant, syncopated energy of Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, and the rich, uniquely American soundscapes of Florence Price’s Suite of Dances.

*Wight Noise Dance Company Bio:
Wight Noise Dance Company (WNDC) is a nonprofit contemporary dance company dedicated to celebrating life through dance. Founded in 2014 by Artistic Director Rachel Wight, WNDC creates meaningful, story-driven work that explores the human experience, social issues, culture, and our connection to the world around us. The company is committed to making the arts accessible while providing performance and creative opportunities for dancers and choreographers. Through original productions, community outreach, charitable initiatives, and the annual Dance West Festival, WNDC works to strengthen Arizona’s artistic community, foster collaboration, and demonstrate the powerful role dance can play in connecting, inspiring, and enriching lives.
**Mac & Company Bio:
MAC & Company was founded from a shared passion for dance education and performance between Micaela Church and Li Pei Khoo in 2014. While being full time dance educators, Church and Khoo continue to be committed to the creative process and practice of dance as a performing art. Being both dancers and musicians, they have a particular interest in exploring the different processes that have been utilized in the integration between dance and music. With the common goal of presenting innovative work and nurturing professional growth in the field of dance and music, Church and Khoo hope to provide a platform for fellow dancers who share their passion.
