LET'S DANCE FOR LEWIS!

Come and be part of the biggest disco dance party that the Palms has ever seen, all in support of Lewis and his family during his upcoming multiple open-heart surgeries.

Lewis LOVES to sing and dance, and once his heart surgery journey begins, he won’t be able to hit the dance floor for a while.

So, let’s get together for one last grand dance party to keep his spirits high until he’s ready to groove again!

LEWIS' STORY 💙

Lewis is 5 years old and has just stared kindy this year! He is a wild little dude who loves to sing, dance, play soccer, go fishing and ride his motorbike.

Unfortunately, Lewis Was recently diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect and severe aortic valve stenosis.

In November 2024 Lewis underwent catheter surgery with the intention to inflate a small balloon in his aorta to widen it, but when they went in they learnt that the stenosis was much more severe than anticipated with his aortic arch narrowing in three places and the aortic valve leaflets had thickened dramatically, meaning the balloon procedure would not work.

Lewis, his mum Elyssa and little brother Myles met with his new surgeon at Westmead Children's Hospital in January 2025 and he will under-go his first of many open-heart surgeries this coming April.

Lewis' heart is currently working way too hard to pump blood, which is causing thickening the left ventricle aswell and weakening his heart.

Multiple open-heart surgeries paired with close monitoring will hopefully keep his heart working well enough until he is able to receive complete valve transplants.

Even though the road ahead is very uncertain and will have to be played by ear, Lewis is a tough little dude and we know he's going to smash through all of his surgeries!

Unfortunately, when the world stops for our babies to have surgeries, the bills continue to roll in hard and fast regardless.
