Baw Baw Shire Council and Bettermentall Australia Inc will partner to deliver these free community speaker events navigating mental health, addiction and self-care for caregivers. "Let’s have a chat – with Jason and Kerry Rantall" is an inspiring event with Jason and Kerry as they share their personal stories of living with mental health and addictions.
Jason will talk about his journey with mental health and addiction, and how taking small steps helped him rebuild his life. He will share tips on how to face difficult times and stay strong, offering hope and advice for anyone facing similar challenges. Kerry, who supported Jason through his journey, will talk about the impact of caring for a loved one going through tough times. She will explain what she learned about looking after herself while helping someone else and share helpful advice for others in a similar situation.
This event is for anyone working on their own mental health, or for those who are supporting a family member, friend, or colleague. You’ll leave with practical steps and ideas for improving your well-being and dealing with life’s challenges. Don’t miss out on this chance to learn, find support, and take action toward a better future.

This FREE community event is limited to only 60 people at each event, and you must be aged 18+ to attend.
We're offering two different times for this event to accommodate a variety of schedules and commitments. Please note, each attendee can only join one session, as both times will cover the same content, and to give the greatest number of people in the community the opportunity to attend.

Jason and Kerry Rantall, founders of Bettermentall Australia Inc, are passionate advocates for mental health and wellness. Driven by their personal experiences and a shared commitment to making a positive impact, they established Bettermentall Australia Inc to support individuals and communities facing mental health challenges.
Jason has lived with addiction and mental health issues, and his journey has been one of resilience and transformation. Throughout the years, Kerry has been his unwavering pillar of support, navigating the challenges and triumphs alongside him. Together, their experiences have shaped their mission to create an organization dedicated to advancing mental health through education, wellness practices, and community gatherings.
At this event, Jason and Kerry will share their powerful stories, highlighting the transformative journey that inspired them to create Bettermentall Australia Inc. Their mission is to provide comprehensive support and foster a sense of belonging for those in need.
