This workshop is aimed at people who don’t think of themselves as a ‘numbers person’ and looks to take the mystery out of your business financials.
In this interactive session, key financial information will be presented in a visual way using the Colour Accounting Learning System. Participants will be provided with a workbook and pop up pack to use throughout the workshop to assist them to better understand profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Following this workshop you will have a greater understand of accounting, finance and business and how they interrelate.
This topic covers:
- What accounting concepts and terms mean in plain English
- The importance of a balance sheet and how it talks to your profit and loss statement
- Understanding what your business finances actually mean
- Knowing the right questions to ask your accountant or bookkeeper
- Business owners who want to build their knowledge and confidence in finance and accounting
- Accountants and bookkeepers wanting to provide more value to their clients by communicating in a language they can understand

In a small and intimate group,( maximum of 12) we create a safe space to ask questions, enabling group and one to one coaching with enhanced learning outcomes for all participants.
Please note this workshop runs as a full day, in-person session.
The facilitator of this workshop, DHM Coaching and Consulting, helps business owners make better informed decisions by building their understanding and confidence around the financials of their business. Debbie Millard has a reputation for being able to explain accounting concepts in plain language making it easier to understand by those with a non-finance background.
This workshop is presented by the Small Business Development Corporation, a Western Australian Government agency that helps small business owners to start well, survive and thrive. We offer free resources, business advice and low cost workshops covering what you need to know to boost your chance of business success. Bookings are limited to two tickets each, however you can make more than one booking. If you are booking for more than one person, please provide each person's email address so they receive our emails with important links and downloads.

If you cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be made available to another business owner. You can cancel your booking from the update order button on your order confirmation email. Cancellations and refunds for paid workshops can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop starts.
