Lets Get Prepared: Mid North Coast (Kempsey)
Event description
Let’s Get Prepared is a series of workshops and resources to help you navigate the challenges of disaster planning. Presented regionally by Museums & Galleries of NSW for museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural organisations as well as others in the cultural sector, the workshop is tailored to the region. It covers traditional disaster planning as well as theory, practical examples, cost and resource effective measures and focuses on collaboration and networking.
Participants will be invited take part in a follow up workshop session in early 2025 to share progress, ask questions and check in with colleagues. Where the first session focuses on planning for disasters – understanding the risks, the resources that you need, the people, supplies and guiding steps during response and recovery. The second follow up session allows for practical salvage techniques to be demonstrated and experienced with mock objects in disaster scenarios.Â
