Lino cut - Introductory level
Learn all about linocut printmaking and make your own unique prints in this 4 hour workshop, no experience necessary!
We will teach you all the basics including what materials and tools to use, designing and cutting your image safely, and how to print your own artwork, both by hand and using a printing press.
Covering:-
Relief printing and lino types
Equipment, tools and inks
Safety (cutting)
Designing an image, positive and negative images and spaces
Transferring to lino
Cutting methods and mark making
Inking up
Basic registration method
Hand burnishing
Using the press – 2 intaglio presses and book press
Please bring an apron, disposable gloves and wear closed in shoes.
Lino/paper and tools are supplied but please bring your own if preferred
Morning tea/coffee/milk and biscuits is supplied
(we have a Nespresso coffee pod machine if you would like to bring your own pods)
