A few words of welcome and excitement in the lead-up to the Eumundi Writers Festival opening on the 22nd of August 2025. Letters of Love and Hope is a captivating theatrical event that will bring historical letters to life.

Performed by local actors and set against a powerful visual backdrop, this event offers an intimate look at personal correspondence filled with love, resilience and meaning during difficult times such as war, activism or personal hardship.

Through the voices of well-known and unknown figures throughout history, the audience will witness how words can provide solace humour and strength in times of crisis.

A celebration of the written word’s enduring power, this will be an unmissable event.

$30 a ticket. Tickets include a glass of wine and nibbles.
