A few words of welcome and excitement in the lead-up to the Eumundi Writers Festival. Letters of Love and Hope is a captivating theatrical event that will bring historical letters to life. Performed by local actors and set against a powerful visual backdrop, this event offers an intimate look at personal correspondence filled with love, resilience and meaning during difficult times such as war, activism or personal hardship.
Through the voices of well-known and unknown figures throughout history, the audience will witness how words can provide solace humour and strength in times of crisis.
Mal Favager, familiar to many from his performances over the years at Noosa Arts Theatre particularly during pantomine season. Hayley Saunders has appeared in plays at Noosa Arts Theatre and Lind Lane theatre.
Our wonderful MC is Layla Moore, making her debut performance at The Spot.
We will be bringing to life a moving selection of historical and more recently letters from a variety of well known authors, including Roald Dahl, King Henry VIII, and Joan Didion, along with some lesser known but equally eloquent scribes.
A celebration of the written word’s enduring power, this will be an unmissable event.
$30 a ticket. Tickets include a glass of wine and nibbles.
