Event description

“Letting Go of the Root of Suffering”
A two-day meditation retreat with Anam Thubten
Saturday and Sunday:
June 21 and 22, 2025
In-person at Dhumatala Temple and via Zoom Webinar

A large portion of suffering in our life is optional and unnecessary. The root of our suffering often lies in our mind. When we are able to cut through our attachment to negative mental patterns, we will be able to return to the already free, luminous nature of our mind, and live fully with wisdom, joy, and compassion.

Anam Thubten will lead this retreat by using the essential principles of a traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice called Chod, which literally means “cutting through.” This practice invites us to journey into our own psyche, to meet with our habitual patterns and let go of our grasping to them.
