Levi Andreassen - Double Bass
Praised for his “astounding virtuosity,” American double bassist Levi Andreassen is a sought-after soloist, chamber musician, and educator dedicated to expanding the scope of his instrument. Recent competition successes include 1st Prize at both the 2025 Haslemere International String Competition and the 2023 ISB Youth Solo Competition.
As a soloist, Levi has appeared with the London Mozart Players and Missouri Philharmonic Orchestra, with performance highlights including Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, St John’s Waterloo alongside Melvyn Tan, and broadcasts on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune. A regular at major international festivals, his chamber collaborations feature Ensemble 360, the Vaughan Williams Ensemble, and the Sacconi and Piatti Quartets. Orchestrally, he has performed at the BBC Proms under conductors such as Vasily Petrenko and Sakari Oramo, with upcoming engagements alongside the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.
Levi serves as Consultant Curator at the North Norfolk Music Festival. A graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, he is currently a Neville Wathan Full Scholar at the Royal College of Music studying with Caroline Emery. Levi is generously supported by the Hattori Foundation and plays an 1892–1893 Carlo Loveri double bass, on private long-term loan.
Archie Bonham - Piano
Archie Bonham is a sought-after collaborative pianist specialising in chamber music and the vocal repertoire of art song and opera. Currently the Adami Award for Collaborative Piano Fellow at the Royal College of Music in Londonhe has performed as a song and chamber recitalist at Wigmore Hall, the Royal Ballet and Opera, Royal Albert Hall, and Salle Cortot in Paris. He has been a young artist at Britten Pears Arts (French mélodie with Véronique Gens and Susan Manoff, German lieder with Benjamin Appl and James Baillieu), and Shipston Song Festival, and was official pianist for the Wigmore Hall French Song Exchange led by Dame Felicity Lott. In 2024, he was the New Horizons Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival and School, playing for the vocal studios of Renée Fleming, Carol Vaness, and Stephen King. He was a Fellow at the Oxenfoord International Vocal Summer School, and is a Samling Artist. With the chamber music collective EMPOWER he has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
Archie won the pianist prize at the Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards at Wigmore Hall, and pianist and best duo prizes at the Ashburnham English Song Awards with regular duo partner Ellen Pearson. During his studies at the Royal College of Music he was awarded all the major prizes for vocal collaboration. He regularly appears in recital series’ across the country both with singers and instrumentalists.
In 2026 Archie joins the faculties of the New Virtuosi International Violin Mastercourse in Oxford and the Oxenfoord International Vocal Summer School in St Andrews. Alongside his work at the Royal College of Music and freelance performing, he is a Piano Tutor at Gresham’s School in Norfolk. After undergraduate studies at the University of York, he completed a Master’s degree in Solo Piano and an Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano at the Royal College of Music, studying with Danny Driver, Simon Lepper, Roger Vignoles, Kathron Sturrock. His studies were generously supported by the Needley Family Scholarship and the Viola Tunnard Trust.
