Leviticus at Church of the Arts
Event description
Leviticus follows a group of actors who unpack a teen’s story of faith, first love, and spiritual rejection. At the center is Levi, a devoted church youth leader preparing to speak at Sunday service until she’s told she can’t lead because she’s openly gay.
The play moves fluidly between memory, scripture, worship music, and pop culture. Actors often break character to share personal truths and question the story itself. Leviticus wrestles with responsibility, truth, and whether they’ve done enough. It closes with a quiet reckoning where faith and heartbreak collide.
Originally staged in Florida churches, Leviticus has toured the state and is now expanding, continuing to find new life in both sacred spaces.
