The Lewi Blues & Roots is back for 2026 and what a line up of musicians are gracing the stage in October for you!
From the Delta blues toe tapping magic of M.T. Blues to the virtuoso guitar sounds of Pete Cornelius, there are so many live acts to see we barely have room on the page.! Miss Jones gives us her beautiful heartfelt soul wrenching blues, while The Blue Water Bandits give blues a funky twist. Yesterday’s Gentleman will get you up and dancing with that shuffle and swing. While the last two acts are nothing short of breathtaking with The Sheyana Band bringing that sweet soulful dirty blues with a rhythmic heart beat and The Dave Wilson Band finishing off the night with electric guitar 60’s blues rock fusion.

MISS JONES 2PM
Unique and brilliant, Miss Jones is recognised by local and national artists alike for her captivating delivery. Miss Jones has played support for major touring artists like Mia Dyson, Ash Grunwald, and Alex Lloyd. With her unique blend of urban swing and a touch of jazzy blues, this emotive songwriter will pull at the heartstrings. One performer not to be missed!
M.T. BLUES 3PM
Considered local legends throughout the State, M.T. Blues is heavily influenced by the traditional 1930's Delta Blues of the South. Using vintage resophonic, lap steel, and cigar box guitars, Matt Bayes will send you back to the heavy rhythms and expressive bottleneck slide guitar of the era . Accompanied with the unique raw and emotive vocals of Troy, this is a duo that will absolutely have you captivated and wanting more.
PETE CORNELIUS 4PM
A household name in the blues scene, Tasmanian singer-songwriter Pete Cornelius has been captivating audiences with his authentic blues, roots, and Americana sound for over 25 years. His live performances are nothing short of electrifying, with both national and international acclaim under his belt, Pete has played some of Australia's most iconic festivals including Bluesfest Gympie Muster, and Blues on Broadbeach, and has been invited to perform in the U.S at major events like the Taste of Chicago and the Prairie Dog Blues Festival in Winconsin. Stripped back with vocals and guitar Pete will leave you speechless by the sincerity and soulfulness of his performance.
THE BLUE WATER BANDITS 5PM
Did someone say it's time to get funky? The first band of the afternoon The Blue Water Bandits will bring a 70's retro groove with a modern twist to the table. With a unique blend of blues, psychedelic, and greasy funk the Bandits have played the Taste of Summer and recently did a tour up the north coast of Tasmania. Opening for Street Eats Franko has the Healine Act in 2025, the Bandits will get you ready for some serious Spring vibes and dancing.
YESTERDAY'S GENTLEMAN 6PM
You wanna swing? You wanna groove? Yesterday's Gentleman is the band for you! Full of personality the Gents play a mix of original swinging jump jive and roadhouse blues, inspired by the rockabilly style of the 1940s and 50s. Recognised by many national and international acts for their lively performances the Gents have supported Texan musician The Reverend Horton Heat, and American rock band The Black Crowes. Guaranteed to get your toes tappin' the Gents are one band you must see!
THE SHEYANA BAND FT. PETE CORNELIUS 7PM
Nothing short of spectacular The Sheyana Band are delivering a one-time special perfomance to the Lewi featuring guests, legendary guitarist Pete Cornelius, and Luke Young, drummer from The Bad Dad Orchestra. Both nationally and internationally acclaimed, The Sheyana Band led by London born singer songwriter Sheyana Wijesingha blends blues, soul, rock and country-pop into a rich, unmistakable sound. Having gained national and international airplay, their latest album "All The Best" reached no. 6 on The Australian Blues & Roots Charts and previous singles have charted internationally in Sri Lanka. Their captivating live shows have seen them share the stage with with some of Australia's finest including Deborah Conway, The Black Sorrows, Neil Finn, Christina Anu, Diesel, Ian Moss and the band has performed at many prominent events including Party in the Paddock, Cygnet Folk Festival and Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival. A band that must be seen to be believed for their energy and power, do not miss out on this one!
THE DAVE WILSON BAND 8PM
Self described as psychedelic swamp rock blues, the Dave Wilson Band is back in town! Recently reformed and fresh from jamming grooves, with Bob Tolputt on bass and Mitch Partridge on drums, sit back and enjoy some original tunes splattered amongst covers from Clapton, Creedence, Clearwater, Hendrix, and more!
