LGBTIQA+ Family Violence Training - LAUNCESTON
Event description
This one-day training session is designed for family violence practitioners and other professionals who work with people of all genders and sexualities who experience intimate partner violence.
Engender Equality and Working It Out Tasmania have partnered to develop LGBTIQA+ Family Violence Practice Guidelines and this training package to support family violence workers deepen their practice with LGBTIQA+ victim/survivors of family violence. This training will cover:
- LGBTIQA+ fundamentals
- Understanding LGBTIQA+ family violence
- How the ‘gendered lens’ applies to LGBTIQA+ family violence
- Abuse types that are specific to LGBTIQA+ relationships
- Being affirmative and inclusive in your practice
This training is based on a firmly trans-inclusive feminist approach.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.
