LGBTIQA+ Parent Information Session

Sj Library Services has partnered with Freedom.org.au (Freedom Centre Perth) to provide the LGBTIQA+ Parent Information Session.

The Session will cover this content:

• Breaking down the LGBTIQA+ acronym – distinction between sex, gender and sexuality, different identities and sub-communities, important terminology and definitions
• LGBTIQA+ experiences – population statistics, experiences of discrimination, mental health, a overview of gender transition
• Allyship and inclusion – use of correct pronouns and names, supporting loved ones, resources and referrals
