Join us for another LGN Showcase Webinar. Our three speakers include;

1. Stuart Outhred, Manager LGA Capability and Development at TAC, will discuss the variety of TAC activities that support councils in improving road safety within their municipalities. These include the flagship $210m Safe Local Roads and Streets Program, focused capability building initiatives, and a comprehensive grants program. Stuart will provide an update on how these programs are being delivered and the impact they are having throughout Victoria.

2. Alison Shelton, Road Safety Officer at Cessnock City Council in NSW, will present on the Council's safe system approach to reducing the incidence and severity of motorcycle crashes on recreational routes. The project involved collaboration with a range of stakeholders, an audit of the most problematic recreational routes and the installation of integrated warning and advisory signage.

3. Chris Jurewicz, Principal Transport Safety Engineer at SafeMobility, will showcase the application of connected vehicle data to solving traffic and transport LGA engineering problems. Specific examples will include assessing effectiveness of roundabout installations and traffic calming in Victoria.
