Lhabab Duchen - Buddha's Descent from Heaven + Shared Lunch

*Please note change of time to commence at 10am

Join us for one of the most holy days in the Buddhist calendar - Lhabab Duchen - commemorating Sakyamuni Buddha's Descent from the Trayastrimsa - Heaven of the 33.

To repay the kindness of his mother Mayadevi, Sakyamuni Buddha ascended to the Trayastrimsa Heaven after her passing to liberate his mother and benefit the gods in the god realm. After teaching there for several months, Sakyamuni Buddha descended from the Heavenly realm back to earth.

On this anniversary, we will come together to do a 16 Arhat Puja at 10am on Sunday, 1st November at the Sakya Temple of Peace followed by a shared lunch. Please bring along something vegetarian to share.

For those who can't be there in person, we will also livestream the event. You can RSVP to attend online and a zoom link will be emailed to you (please check your junk and/or spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox).
