Libby Hammer and pianist Joshua Haines bring you an evening of intimate jazz, cabaret music and story-telling.

Libby is well-known to Perth audiences and has performed regularly around Western Australia since the late 1990s. She is a sought-after vocal coach and can be seen performing in different guises (and disguises) around the traps, and this broad performance experience is evident in her easy, candid stage style.

Joshua Haines has been performing and teaching in the arts for over a decade as a versatile pianist, composer and musicologist. His original compositions have been performed by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and he is currently teaching at WAAPA. There is nothing he doesn’t know about musical theatre.

Libby and Joshua were thrown together recently when they were asked by the Ellington Jazz Club to cover for a singer who had taken ill, and to the delight of all, musical magic ensued. Tonight you are invited to cosy up with these excellent musicians as they once again share some of their favourite songs steeped in the wit of musical theatre and the playfulness of jazz.
