    Event description

    Closing date for entry: 10am Monday 16 December 2024

    Artists’ books are an art form, and every two years since 2011 Northern Beaches Libraries has held an Artists’ Book Award attracting entries from around the world.

    Any artists’ book created within the past two years is eligible for entry to the Northern Beaches Libraries Artists’ Book Award 2025.

    The award is acquisitive. Works will be selected and judged by two judges, Wendy Sharpe and Ben Rak.

    Before you begin your submission

    Please note you will need to submit:

    • an Artists' Statement for the submitted entry (up to 100 words only). Please don't include your name as submissions are judged anonymously. 
    • 5 images of your entry. The images must be jpegs and no larger than 2MB. Images must be labelled by: SURNAME_FIRSTNAME_TITLE.

    How to Enter

    • Then click CHECKOUT

    • Complete the entry form.

    • Cost of entry is $40.00 AUD (GST inclusive) per entry + booking fee and is non-refundable

    Important Dates

    • Entries open from: 7am, Wednesday 9 October 2024

    Closing date for entry: 10am, Monday 16 December 2024

    • Successful entrants notified by email by: 5pm, Monday 20 January 2025

    • Selected works to be received by: 5pm, Friday 16 February 2025

    • Opening & announcement of acquisitions: Friday 4 March at Manly Library - Creative Library, 1 Market Place, Manly NSW

    • Exhibition dates: Saturday 5 March to Sunday 27 April 2025

    • Works to be collected from Manly Library or returned as instructed between: Thursday 1 May and Friday 16 May
