Kieran is a 3D Spatial Analyst and Data Lead at Monteath & Powys, where he's spent years finding new ways to make point cloud data actually useful. His work spans the lifecycle of point clouds, from coordinating LiDAR captures in the field using terrestrial scanning, UAV flights, and SLAM, to processing and turning raw data into detail surveys, reality meshes, and 3D models that clients can do something with.

He specialises in extracting value from these complex datasets, with a strong focus on data quality, pipeline automation, and translating data into clear, accessible outputs for clients for heavy infrastructure, agriculture, transport, and heritage applications.

Beyond his technical work, Kieran is central to shaping the organisation's data standards and workflows through continuous research and innovation to drive the adoption of new technologies within the business. Lately, his focus has been on how automation can simplify and improve the speed of point cloud registration, processing, and delivery of data across different platforms.
