Our Life as a Clinician-Scientist symposia are designed to inspire health, medical and sciences students, early career researchers and clinicians to pursue a career as a clinician-scientist.

What is a clinician-scientist?

Clinician-scientists combine clinical practice with health research, allowing them to take their insights from working with patients to answer fundamental scientific questions and ultimately improve patient care.

Our online Allied Health symposium offers a unique platform to hear from leading experts in the field and learn about the many pathways to this exciting career.

Chaired by Professor Kim Bennell FAHMS (Melbourne Laureate Professor and NHMRC Investigator Fellow, Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine, Department of Physiotherapy, The University of Melbourne) and Professor Catherine Sherrington FAHMS (Professor, The University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health District), our speaker line-up includes:
