Can humans live on Mars? What challenges would we face in building a colony on the Red Planet?
Join us for an exciting one-day STEM holiday program where students will take on the role of future Martian settlers! Through hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, robotics, and drone exploration, participants will learn about Mars' extreme environment and develop problem-solving skills to tackle the challenges of space exploration.
This immersive program is designed for Year 3 – Year 6 students who love science, technology, and adventure!
Program Highlights:
Understanding Space & Mars
1. Discover Mars’ environment and the challenges of human settlement.
2. Learn about space travel, engineering constraints, and resource management.
Engineering & Problem-Solving
1. Design and build a Martian habitat using craft materials.
2. Develop critical thinking skills to address real-world challenges like oxygen supply, food production, and radiation protection.
Practical Robotics & Drone Skills
1. Navigate drones through space-themed obstacle courses simulating a journey to Mars.
2. Use robots to transport and deploy habitats in a simulated Martian landscape.
Collaboration & Teamwork
1. Work in teams to design, build, and deploy a Martian settlement.
2. Engage in problem-solving activities that foster communication and leadership skills.
