Life Writing Group at Mount Flora Museum
Event description
Are you writing your autobiography, a biography, a local or family history, or need some tips with research? Bring along your work-in-progress and meet up with other community members who are engaging in all forms of ‘life writing’.
Second Wednesday of the month, starting 9 July 2025
2.30pm – 4.00pm
Mount Flora Regional Museum (meeting room), 30 Elvire Street, Watermans Bay WA 6020
Bring your own device and writing materials (e.g. laptop, notebook, etc.).
Get support from local authors such as Eversley Mortlock (Gwelup yarning: Reflections on the history of Gwelup, 2025), Chris Holyday (Old Scarborough: A destiny fulfilled, 2024), and Richard Goodwin (Sparks of genius: The inventive photography of Bill Angove, 2024), who will share their tips and experiences for writing and publishing your work. The Community History Librarians will also be on hand to help you with online research.
Free program: bookings are essential as places are limited.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to BYO reusable coffee cup.
The Mount Flora Museum meeting room is wheelchair accessible.
