Event description

Join this free information session to find out more about Young Change Agents Lighting The Spark program and how you can implement it in your school.

The Lighting the Spark initiative is a culturally proud, community-led program that enables local leaders to share entrepreneurial education with Indigenous youth in their communities, with the guidance of local mentors and businesses. Its goal is to support a strong, self-determined ecosystem of Indigenous entrepreneurs across Australia.

This initiative is for youth aged 10-18, with the program building on and extending entrepreneurship as a concept and practice that has existed in Indigenous communities for thousands of years. This program is a total of 12 hours (Stage 1) and 15 hours (Stage 2), and is led and delivered by educators with the support of Young Change Agents.

This session will show you how Lighting the Spark can help your mob connect, share their culture and inspire your school community through entrepreneurial education. We’ll also cover tips for securing budget support for your First Nations initiatives and how YCA can help!
