Lincoln, Nebraska Hometown
Description
Join us for a Wildwood Hometown event held at the Arbor Day Foundation in the Oak Room (211 N. 12th Street) in Lincoln. This is a two-day event, with Thursday for coaches only, and Friday for both athletes and coaches. This workshop is designed to support and empower female athletes and their coaches. There will be a run sponsored by Lincoln Running Company (1213 Q Street) on Friday morning including breakfast and a shoe demonstration sponsored by On..
This workshop will focus on key areas of female health, nutrition, confidence, mental performance skills, and team-building skills. Attending this workshop will allow athletes to better understand their bodies and how to stay strong and healthy throughout their training. It will also provide athletes with leadership and team-building strategies that will help them to be more confident teammates and leaders amongst their peers. It will also support coaches as they work to support the journey of female runners.
The experience on Thursday will be for coaches only, and will provide coaches the opportunity to learn further about strategies to implement with their athletes as they work to support female runners along their journey. There will be a coaches’ social after the Thursday sessions. The experience on Friday will be for BOTH coaches and athletes, and will be aimed primarily at helping athletes better understand their journey as athletes. Both athletes and coaches will benefit from the sessions offered over those two days!
