Event description

LinkedIn has been a powerful tool in my career journey, helping me build connections, advance professionally and grow the Migrant Women Professional Network. I started my LinkedIn account in my first year of University more than 10 years ago and I have learnt so much from using the platform. In this workshop, I will share my personal story of how LinkedIn opened doors for me, and show you how to use the platform to do the same for your career!

This session is designed specifically for migrant women, offering strategies to build your profile, expand your network and leverage LinkedIn to connect with the right people and opportunities. Ideally, the attendee should already have a LinkedIn profile - looking to grow their connections and learn how to optimise the use of LinkedIn.

Speaker: Kimberly Goh, Founder of Migrant Women Professional Network

Kimberly's journey began as an international student from Malaysia, where she learned the importance of going the extra mile to stand out in the competitive job market. Engaging in mentorship programs, internships, and networking events, she secured her first role organising wellbeing and resilience training, honing her resilience skills in the process.

Transitioning to the international education sector, Kimberly spent many years working as a Career Advisor witnessing the struggles of international students and migrants in finding employment and forming connections. Motivated by this, she founded the Migrant Women Professional Network upon returning from maternity leave, aiming to empower migrant women through connections and professional development by combining what she loved - organising events and helping people. She first posted on LinkedIn about Migrant Women Professional Network in January 2023, since then she's had monthly events and has engaged over 800 participants from 50+ countries.

This is a free event with limited tickets designed to benefit all attendees. If you are no longer able to attend, please be considerate and cancel your booking as early as possible to allow others the opportunity to participate. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

This event is designed exclusively for women, providing a safe and empowering space to connect and share experiences.
