Lino printing Six Week Course - Term 1

Discover the exciting world of Lino Printing in this immersive 6-week course with Cecilia Jacobs.

Over six Wednesday evenings, you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of lino printing, including the preparation of your materials, carving techniques, and various printing techniques with and without a press. The course will offer an opportunity to transform single-colour linocuts into multi-coloured prints and explore other techniques such as woodblock printing. 

By the end of the six weeks, you will have produced a series of prints to take home and have acquired essential skills and best practice to continue lino printing. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn new skills or an experienced artist looking to expand your knowledge, this course will provide the techniques and creative inspiration to bring your ideas to life.

You will be guided along the way with expert advice by Cecilia Jacobs, a visual artist specialising in printmaking. Cecilia's process-based prints navigate a space between nature and abstraction, as she uses printmaking as a vital tool for her practice. Now predominantly working in copper plate etching and monotype, Cecilia also has a vast knowledge on relief printing and has taught various workshops. 

All materials are provided including a set paper limit per student.
