Liquid Lyrics returns with a little fire in its belly, bringing the Sunshine Coast together for an evening of outspoken poetry, music and connection as we explore what we stand for.

THEME: "WHAT WE STAND FOR!"

What gets you fired up?

What will and won't you stand for?

Whats happening in the world that you can’t keep quiet about?

This October, we’re inviting poets to bring those words to the stage. Injustice, corruption, the cost of living, the future of art and live entertainment, the people and places you love.

Whatever it is you stand for, we want to hear it!

Bring your passionate perpectives, your innner anarachist, your dark humour or your hope.

Come share your words or settle in and support those who do. There’ll be food, drinks and plenty of good company.

POETRY SLAM RULES

Sign up at the door from 5.45 pm. The first 14 poets to register are guaranteed a place in the slam.

• Three-minute time limit. The timer begins on the first word.

• One point will be deducted for every minute over the time limit.

• Judges will be chosen randomly from the audience.
