Event description

PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care and end of life care.

Program Objective:

PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care for people with a life-limiting illness.

The workshops are interactive and provide time for discussion through case presentations and examples (some aspects of the program may change due to circumstances beyond our control).

Intended workshop audience: All non-indigenous persons currently working in a health-related role regardless of setting or discipline.

Topics include: Knowing - kinship, family centred care; cultural, spiritual and health considerations; perceptions and experience of palliative care; Being - building capacity (self); Doing - accommodate cultural practices in palliative care settings; overview of PEPA/IPEPA NSW and placement opportunities.

  • An email confirming registration to attend will be sent from HUMANITIX to participants advising that registration has been successful. 

  • Please note, places are limited and registration is essential.

  • TICKET issued in 'good faith' that you meet the necessary criteria/target group for this session. Those not meeting the criteria/target group will be contacted by PEPA NSW to cancel their ticket.

  • Morning tea and Sign in opens approximately 30 minutes prior to start time.
