Listening to feelings workshop: Woodline
Event description
Come and join me, as I share on this powerful topic, Listening to the big feelings of our little people.
I will be speaking about the Aware Parenting perspective on listening to feelings of our children.
We will be exploring:
- The theory and perspectives behind the Aware Parenting approach to listening to feelings.
- The theory behind why crying is the healing our children
-Releasing before bedtime for a more peaceful nights sleep
- What this looks like in a practical sense and in your day to day life.
- How to create emotional safety so your child feels safe to release with you
- Reflecting and understanding your own childhood imprint and story around feelings, and how this impacts your ability to listen and hold for your children.
- How to support your child's natural desire, autonomy and choice by offering attachment play, when needed
- What to do, when your child won't release their feelings
- What you can do when your child moves into anger and aggression instead of crying and releasing.
- Why children become disconnected from us, and how we can support them to can back into connection and feel willing to cooperate with us.
-How your own feelings and capacity play a part in listening to feelings
There will also be many opportunities to ask questions throughout, and specific question time to ask me anything you like around these topics towards the end of the workshop.
If you're wondering why children have big feelings, if you're looking for ways to normalise healthy releases of anger and supporting your child to feel safe, so they're willing to share their feelings with you- then this is for you!
Get in touch if you have any questions.
