    Event description

Are you a bookworm who loves to support local authors? Are you seeking books that reflect a diversity of perspectives? Are you interested in writing and publishing at the same time as having a full-time, non-writing, career and, possibly, while raising a family?

Come and chat with our authors about overcoming the challenges of writing and publishing while progressing a career. Meet and network with local authors and get a chance to buy their books. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr Celia Torres-Villanueva is a lawyer, board chair, impact entrepreneur, and former scientist, with three children and a loving husband. She is also the author of The Everett Quartet (2024), The Moon's Sweet Embrace (2024), and short stories and poems, including those published in the anthology, Undefeated, in 2022. Her books are available locally through Career Transformation Ventures and globally from Amazon.

Ms Madhavi Johnson worked with the United Nations in Africa and Asia for over 2 decades and published her collection of short stories, Demon on Fire in 2021. Her book is available globally from Amazon.

Ms Ana Asanovic will be moderating the event. We will also be joined by authors Mayase Jere, Monica Kalra,  Anna Manuel, Amal Abou-Eid, Jackie Kerin, Nandita Chakraborty, and Hazel Lekkas, who will talk about their books.

The authors' books will be available for sale at the event.
