JOIN THE VARUNA 65+ WRITING GROUP

Are you aged 65 or over?  Would you like to connect with other like-minded people while developing creative writing skills?

Facilitated by Mary Anne Butler, the workshops will include:

  • Reading and analysing other creative writing to see how it works
  • Weekly writing skill sessions
  • In-class exercises
  • Sharing work and receiving feedback [for those who want to]
  • Optional homework exercises to keep going between sessions
  • Special guest Q&A with Carol Major, author of The Asparagus Wars
  • In the final week, there will be a discussion on establishing an ongoing, self-driven writing group to support each other, longer-term.
  • A Sunday pass to the Blue Mountains Writers Festival on 23 October 2022 so the group can socialise together and be inspired at this key literary event.
