    Event description

Join us on the 22nd of December for a Solstice celebration of the abundance of summer.

The Goddess represents the power and force of the light of the sun. At Summer Solstice (or Litha) we will come together in celebration. We celebrate summer, passion and success. A time for expansion and gratitude, to experience her radiance shine forth from us and share it in the world.

‘…as Light reaches Her peak, our closest contact with the Sun, She opens completely, and the seed of darkness [to come] is born.’ – Glenys Livingston

Litha is Kangaroo Apple Season in south-eastern Australia, when goannas are active, Bundjil the wedge-tailed eagle is breading and the Cherry Ballart and Kangaroo Apple are fruiting. The weather is changeable and thundery.

Come to share a Litha ritual followed by a pot-luck meal.
This year in the ritual we are blessed to have Sue Gee, folk singer-songwriter to sing for us about the season.
