Litter Prevention Toolkit
The toolkit is designed to empower local councils, community groups and organisations, to clearly communicate the environmental impacts of urban littering—particularly on waterways and wildlife.
At its core is the creative anchor, "Bin it or bring it home,” a simple, consistent message that underpins all materials. The toolkit promotes litter prevention behaviours through clear, universal messaging that transcends language barriers and encourages positive, actionable change.
The toolkit assets include:
- Posters and social media templates
- Bin & floor decals
- Litter prevention discussion guides for approaching communities, construction groups and schools.
The toolkit will be made available on a dedicated Melbourne Water webpage for easy download and local use.
