Little Artists: Printing with Shapes
Description
Explore shapes, colours, and your imagination in this fun stamping and printing session for Little Artists!
Using stamps and printmaking techniques, children will create an abstract picture resembling imaginary places. We will tell each other stories of fantastical adventures and create these on paper using bright colours. Stars, clouds, trees and unusual shapes will make up our pictures sparking creativity and wonder!
Materials: paper, stamps, cut out shapes, rollers, paint.
Definitions and Learnings: This activity encourages learning through play and story telling, as well as developing fine motor skills using a variety of applications, techniques and tools. Children will learn about printmaking and explore how shapes and images make us feel or think of different places or ideas.

Cost: FREE
Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.
Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
