Little Big Thinkers: October 2026 Camp Years 5-6

Newington College is a lighthouse for innovation in critical thinking and philosophical inquiry. Students from all across NSW have come to our campus to participate in our Critical Thinking & Ethics inter-school events such as Philosothon, Meeting of Minds, Socratic Summit, and Minds on Fire.

Little Big Thinkers brings these activities to Year 5 and 6 students in the school holidays -- Students from all schools are welcome! It's a two-day programme of fun and thought-provoking games and philosophical activities, together with art-making and sport.

Join us on 8–9 October for inquiries on the topic of Making judgments in art and life.

• What makes something beautiful?

• When people disagree about what they see, is someone right?

• Is it important to seek consensus?

• When do you have freedom to choose your perspective and when don’t you?

• Can you become an expert at making judgments? Should you...?

Put on your thinking caps and get ready to wonder, puzzle, draw, and create with our expert Philosophy teachers at the Critical Thinking and Ethics Quarters at the Stanmore Campus! We will have an artist in residence from the National Art School supporting this session.

Cost: $210 for those booking before 24 September and $250 thereafter.

Drop off is 9:00am at Newington College with activities beginning at 9:15am; pick up is 3:00pm.
