Little Experimenteers presents: Toilet Training TroubleShoot

An educational parent workshop for parents of children with developmental delays or disabilities (including: Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Fragile X, and others), or any parent experiencing toilet training challenges.

Facilitated by: Alicia Dos Santos - Occupational Therapist, Group Facilitator, and Keyworker.

  • Where to start
  • Strengths-based practice
  • Toileting Goals & Questions
  • Things to consider: The child, the task, the environment. 
  • Practical Strategies & ideas 
  • Problem-solving common problems together


Common problems include:

  • Where to start
  • Toilet refusals & distress
  • Underlying skills - cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, communication, & sensory
  • Understanding challenging behaviour
  • Night-time Bed-wetting
  • And any other challenges you're experiencing and would like to ask about. :)
