Little Irish - Pilot Session (ages 4-7)
Description
Little Irish โ Pilot Session ๐
Irish language, songs and stories for ages 4โ7
Little Irish is a playful introduction to the Irish language and culture for children aged 4โ7 in Randwick. This is our pilot session, your family's first chance to experience Little Irish before our first full term begins.
What makes Little Irish special
Every session has a theme. The songs, stories, movement and games in each session are all linked to one theme, so children hear and use the same Irish words in lots of different ways. That repetition through play is how little ones learn a language naturally.
Pilot theme: Fรกilte
Small groups by age. Each session is split into two small groups running side by side, one for 4โ5s and one for 6โ7s. Every activity is pitched at the right level, and siblings of different ages can attend the same time slot.
Two teachers in every session. Two teachers mean plenty of individual attention and encouragement for every child.
No Irish needed. Whether your family speaks Irish at home, has Irish heritage, or is simply curious, everyone is welcome! Children don't need any prior knowledge of the language.

About your teacher
I'm Sinรฉad, a qualified Irish language and physical education teacher, and I've been teaching at a local primary school here in Randwick for more than 10 years. Since becoming a mum myself, Iโve noticed there arenโt many opportunities for young children here in Sydney to connect with the Irish language and culture. Iโd love to create a fun, welcoming space where they can do just that! ๐ฎ๐ช
Spaces are limited to keep groups small. Book now to secure your spot and your family's early access to the 4-week block! โ๏ธ
FAQs
- WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?
45 minutes of play-based fun โ songs, stories, games and movement, all woven with Irish language and culture. It's not a formal lesson. No prior Irish needed, for your child or you!
- What are the session times and grouping details?
Two identical time slots: 9:00 am and 10:00 am โ pick whichever suits your family. Each session includes BOTH age groups (4โ5s and 6โ7s), split into two smaller groups that run side by side. This means siblings of different ages can attend the SAME time slot together, rather than waiting around for two hours between sessions. Turning 4 soon? If your child turns 4 by 31 December this year, they're welcome to join the 4โ5 group from day one.
- What should we bring?
Just comfortable clothes for moving around in โ everything else is provided.
- Do I need to stay?
Parents must stay for the full duration of the session. We ask that you remain on-site throughout, so you're on hand if your child needs you, and so we can maintain safe supervision ratios.
- What if my child has allergies or a medical condition?
Please note any allergies or medical conditions at booking so we can keep your child safe and included.
- Will photos be taken?
We'd love to capture the fun for our socials! You can opt in or out of photo/video consent at booking โ totally your choice.
- What about siblings under 4?
We've had wonderful interest in a program for 2โ3-year-olds! We're focused on getting this first term right and will look to launch something for our youngest learners once we've found our rhythm. Follow along for updates.
