Little Loop - Sunday Sessions

Whether you’re a regular runner or just looking for a social way to stay active, come join the EBRC for our Little Loop Sunday Sessions, a FREE 5km community run/walk at Catalina Bay. After the run, stick around to see if you’ve won one of the spot prizes (registering puts your name in the draw) and enjoy food and drink specials inside Little Creatures with your mates.

First timer?

Know the route – please check the simple video of the route (HERE) or our Strava page before coming! The run isn't signposted or marshaled BUT it's super easy to follow – it's basically a loop of the coastal walkway.

Here’s what you need to know: 

Start & finish: outside Little Creatures
When to arrive: from 3.45pm to drop your bag in the bag drop, warm up, catch up with others and enjoy some tunes.
Run starts 4.15pm; Walkers from 4pm
Post-run Specials: Kids Eat Free from 4pm (see Little Creatures for details); $10 Catalina Lager on tap

Club Fundraiser: Can you help Brendan get to France? 

Many regular Little Loopers will know that crew member Brendan Dean was recently selected to represent New Zealand at the 2025 IAU 24 Hour World Championships, held in Albi, France, on 18–19 October – this great honour comes without any funding, so we're holding a quiz night at RSA Hobsonville July 17th to help. If you'd like to come along and help get a Hobby local and crew member to the start line to represent New Zealand, email Duncan (hello@earlybirdrun.org).

When is the draw?
We'll do the wheel at the Little Loop the Sunday AFTER the quiz so there's plenty time to enter. Winners will be contacted by email or phone, so you don't have to be there.
