Little Roamies Nature Play

Join us for a FREE Nature Play Event at Moire Park!

We’re excited to invite you and your little roamies (0-5, but all ages welcome) to a series of fun, hands-on nature play events at Moire Park, West Auckland.

On Monday 28th July, Monday 25th August, and Monday 29th September from 10am to 12pm, Roam With Kids and Barefooted NZ will be hosting three mornings of interactive nature-based activities designed for both parents and children.

There are so many benefits to spending time in nature, and it can sometimes feel hard to do with little ones! For parents with young babies (even those not yet on the move), we’ll have plenty of natural sensory resources for them to explore.

For toddlers and preschoolers, we’ll have nature-inspired art and sensory stations, all designed to connect them with the natural world. The activities will change from session to session and will depend on the ages of the kids who come to play - we have slack lines, swings, and plenty for older kids too!

This event will also focus on fostering a sense of kaitiakitanga, or guardianship, of the environment in a playful, interactive way. We’ll explore how we can care for and protect our beautiful natural spaces together, and hopefully you can make some meaningful connections with other parents at the same time (especially if you come to all three events!).
