Little Street Studio presents: The Artist Masterclass Series. 002 - Track Breakdown Workshop with Shockone
Event description
Little Street Studio is thrilled to present the second offering in our Artist Masterclass Series. An intimate Track Breakdown Workshop and Q&A session with a producer who has long been at the very forefront of Australia’s thriving Drum n Bass scene, Shockone.
Karl Thomas AKA ShockOne, is a prominent Australian drum and bass producer and DJ known for his intense, cinematic music production. Emerging from Perth's vibrant DnB scene, he gained early recognition with tracks like Polygon and his debut album Universus (2013), which topped the Australian ARIA charts. His 2019 follow-up, A Dark Machine, pushed his sound further into dark, synth-heavy territory, drawing on '80s sci-fi influences. In 2023, he released Organism Algorithm, a futuristic exploration of AI themes, solidifying his place as a visionary force in electronic music.
In this workshop, Shockone will be breaking down some of his own productions, offering insights into his approaches to various technical and creative processes such as sound design, mixing, arrangement and more. See firsthand and learn what one of Australia’s leading electronic music producers is doing inside his projects and how he approaches his creative practise.
