    Event description

This Sonic Sundays we present direct from Canada via Airlie Beach Music Festival TENNYSON KING

Enjoy family friendly live music played by a variety of talented performers with Sonic Sundays - Presented at the FunHaus Factory Gosford.

2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards nominee + Mississauga Music Awards Songwriter of the year 2022 // folk-pop singer-songwriter

Tennyson King is an award-winning, nomadic, folk musician from Hong Kong and Canada with an especially jovial stage personality. While most of his songs are in English, he shares his love for Chinese culture. Sharing stories and music in Cantonese and Mandarin, while he pairs electric and acoustic guitar with Zhongruan. His reverberant, punchy songs and humorous stories of life on the road have captivated audiences across the world. Including Canada, Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, the UK, the USA, and also at notable festivals across the globe.

“Be prepared to be swayed, educated, and moved by this artist who has a highly original way of describing the world around him.” Nick Hanlon – Green Music Australia

Tennyson is recognized for his musical prowess and song writing. He recently performed at Glastonbury Festival, and received numerous accolades including Vocalist of the Year at the MARTYs. If you’re looking for the place where your soul can be wild and your heavy-heart assuaged, then follow the sound of Tennyson’s crisp, warm voice, as he plucks an electric chord and hammers out a beat on the kick-drum. A true Chinese Canadian indie folk nomad.

"Tennyson King has fast become one of Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival's favorite international acts. Whether playing solo or with a band, he's consistently warmed hearts and made fans of our local and visiting audiences." Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival
