Event description

Are you an Autistic woman, a parent or caregiver of an Autistic girl, or someone who works with or supports Autistic women? Have you ever wondered what the impact of being (or identifying as) a woman has on Autistic experiences?

Join Dr Mel Heyworth, Reframing Autism's founder and Autistic autism researcher, in this webinar as we examine Autistic (and AuDHD) experiences during

  • puberty and menstruation
  • pregnancy, birth and motherhood
  • work, and
  • menopause

We will explore what challenges Autistic (and multiply neurodivergent) women face during these key life stages, the impact on wellbeing, the difficulties of seeking - and gaining - accurate and helpful diagnoses, as well considering as some key principles to support yourself or those you care about to thrive.

This workshop will primarily focus on the physiological and hormonal impacts usually associated with being AFAB, although the information may also be of interest and relevance to gender diverse, trans* and other individuals as well as to professionals and loved ones.

Register today! A link to the live Zoom workshop will be emailed to you prior to the event.

If you are unable to attend this workshop at the scheduled time; please note that it will be recorded. A recording link will be sent to all attendees after it has taken place, so that you may watch it at a time that is suitable for you. (The recording cannot be accessed using the original live Zoom workshop link.)

Please note that all tickets are for individual/household use only. Please email learning@reframingautism.org.au if you wish to enquire about group pricing for organisations and schools.

We no longer receive government support which allowed us to offer our events at a significantly reduced cost. We are still committed to running events at as low of a price as we can for Autistic people and their families, but have had to increase our ticket prices to help cover our costs. Therefore, we are no longer able to offer a free ticket option at checkout. If you are facing significant financial hardship or other marginalising circumstances, and this topic is of particular relevance to you please email learning@reframingautism.org.au.

* Limited time promotion * - We understand that our increased prices will take a bit of adjustment so are offering our community a 50% discount on the first 50 general admission tickets (maximum 2 tickets per order). The discount will be automatically applied at checkout until all 50 tickets are redeemed.
