Lived experience and inclusive volunteering with MIEACT
Description
Lived experience can be a powerful force for connection and change, when people are supported to share it safely.
Hear from Amy Warner and Sam Launt of Mental Illness Education ACT about creating meaningful pathways for volunteers with lived experience. Together, they will share practical insights from MIEACT’s Volunteer Educator program, including how the organisation supports safe storytelling, reduces stigma and ensures lived experience voices are respected at every stage.
This session is for anyone looking to make their volunteer involvement more inclusive, respectful and informed by the voices of people with lived experience.
This webinar is part of our series designed to support the National Strategy's aims of hosting forums to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing around inclusive volunteering (Action Item 5).
